Nicholas Bud, Not Buddy Christopher Paul Curtis Fiction This story is about a little boy named Bud. After leaving his foster house he is on the hunt for a man he thinks is his father. He thinks that because when his mom was alive she always had fliers of this man and his band. This book will make you cry, laugh, and take you to the world of the great depression and how lucky we are to live in the world today. Recommended
Jamaal Cheaters Eric Jerome Dickey Fiction "Cheaters" is about people who are (or were) in normal relationships. But in this book it is very different. First you have, Michael. He is like a player just like his father. Goes to meet a lovely female, gets to know her and then after a few weeks, just leaves her. But this female, Nikki is a very challenging female and knows what she wants. The two meet and next thing you know, they are all over each other and as usual, he left her. Now Nikki wants to turn things around. After the break up, she goes after Michael's best friend Jordan. And then Michael goes after Nikki's best friend, Tanya. I think that this book is really kind of a average. I would give it a "6". Not Recommended
Ashley Maus Art Spiegelman Fiction This book is about a Jewish man and his family. The story starts off with a boy playing with his friend. In the story the son of Vlaedek was writing a book about his father and his father was telling him about being a Jew and what war was like and some of the survivors. He also said some things about his marriages and his adventures being in the army. Recommended
Ashley Milkweed Jerry Spinelli Fiction Milkweed is about Jews and what it was like to be one and how they identified them. It also talked about a few boys named Uri, Noarm and more. They so happened to find little boys in their hide out. They criticized him about Jews [which they were]. One boy started looking out for the little boy. They stole things to live and lived in a barber shop that no one ever came into. The jackboots started attacking the town. Recommended
Nicholas A Journey to the Center of the Earth Jules Verne Fiction
This book is about people who think they can go to the center of the earth. They found a little world in the center. When they left out of the earth they were in Greenland but when they went into the earth they were in Iceland. So this sums up the great book of journeys to the center of our great earth.
