This is my 34th year in education and my 20th year at JCHS. I
spent 18 years in the classroom teaching Journalism and English before
becoming a counselor. Both my B.S. and M.S. degrees are from Kansas
State University.
My wife Shelley is the principal at Westwood Elementary School in
Junction City. Our daughter Kelley lives in Fort Collins, Colorado where
she is a paralegal. Our son Kyle and his wife Kelli live in Greeley,
Colorado. Kyle is a personal banker for Wells Fargo Banks and Kelli is a
fourth grade teacher.
Outside of school I have a number of interests. I play golf, enjoy
reading fiction and watching movies, maintain my yard and garden, and
attempt various woodworking projects. I am also a huge KSU football fan.

Even though my educational background is not math and science related, I
do enjoy working with the staff of the Science, Engineering, and
Technology Academy and with our principal Mr. Moseman and our Academy
Leader Mr. Davis.
